The Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation was formed in 1970 by the Minneapolis business community. GMHC's mission is to preserve, improve and increase affordable housing for low and moderate income individuals and families, as well as assist communities with housing revitalization.
Predevelopment Revolving Loan Fund
GMHC provides technical assistance and high risk seed loans to assist organizations to develop quality affordable housing.
Single Family Home Ownership Program
GMHC has constructed and/or renovated and sold 1,371 single family homes in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan Area, at a development cost of over $136,000,000.
HousingResource Centers
This program was created to increase home ownership, home improvements and redevelopment in an area that is still viable, but showing signs of vulnerability.
